Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has convened a national committee meeting for preparation of the upcoming 13th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in 2020.
The meeting taking place recently here in Phnom Penh was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn and participated by relevant government officials.
It focused mainly on the review of the identification of appropriate venue for ASEM and other logistic arrangement for it.
Hosted by Cambodia, ASEM 2020 will be joined by delegates from the 51 ASEM members countries, ASEAN secretariat and the European Union.
ASEM was established in 1996. It is a high-level political dialogue held every two years to improve relations between participating states.
