Cambodia Holds 8th Farmer Congress

Cambodia's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries (MAFF) and other stakeholders have organised here recently the Farmer Congress 2017 with participants from relevant ministries and institutions as well as 130 model farmers from across the country.

H.E. Veng Sakhon, Minister of MAFF, who presided over the event's closing ceremony, said this two-day congress was aimed to further disseminate new farming technologies, good practices and other creative ideas to boost the country's agricultural sector.

On the occasion, the ministry announced 35 outstanding farmers in seven different categories. Each winner received a certificate of appreciation, an agricultural machine and a certain amount of money.
