Cambodia has Licenced a Footwear Manufacture Offering 1,500 Jobs

A new footwear factory has been licenced by the government to operate in Cambodia � an investment that will offer some 1,500 jobs to the locals.

The update was shared recently on the official Facebook page of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC).

With an investment of US$4.47 million, the manufacturer, called Advance Team (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., is located in Peuk commune, Ang Snoul district of Kandal province � an area nearby Phnom Penh's suburb.

Including the said investment, Cambodia has licenced a total of eight investments of almost US$100 million since the start of March until now.

Most of the investments cover the area of footwear, garment, and electrical devices and are located in Phnom Penh capital, Kandal province and special economic zones in Svay Rieng province.
