Cambodia, France Laud Strong Bilateral Relations

Cambodia and France exchanged appreciation of blossoming bilateral relations and are committed to work together more on the issues of international community.

The note was made during a recent courtesy meeting in Phnom Penh between Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) and Mr. Bertrand Lortholary, Director of Asia and Oceania Department of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.

Mr. Bertrand Lortholary also highlighted about the importance of maintaining bilateral military cooperation, including human resource development to promote Cambodia’s peacekeeping missions under the United Nations framework.

Lt. Gen. Hun Manet reaffirmed the Royal Cambodian Army’s stance to continue the good cooperation with the French counterpart.

French Army also played an important role in training Cambodian army at Thmat Pong Military School, he added.
