Cambodian national volleyball team and U21 French national volleyball team will have a friendly match soon.
The plan was shared by H.E. Gen. Neth Savoeun, Commissioner General of the National Police and President of the Volleyball Federation of Cambodia in the closing ceremony of a volleyball tournament for “Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen Cup 2022″ here in Phnom Penh on Oct. 30.
H.E. Gen. Neth Savoeun added that he had a meeting recently with H.E. Eric Tanguy, President of the French Volleyball Federation, learning that France intended to help promote Cambodian volleyball through exchanging delegations and techniques.
The two sides also aimed to enter a cooperative memorandum of understanding in the near future.
The Cambodia-France International Friendly Volleyball Match can take place in two options – one, the French team will come to compete with Cambodian team in Phnom Penh, and second, Cambodian team will leave for France to compete with their French opponents.
Mr. Aing Sereypiseth, Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Cambodia, underlined that the friendly match is in line with the federation’s plan to promote the international friendly contests to sharpen the capacity of Cambodian athletes for the SEA Games 2023 to be hosted by Cambodia.
