Ministry of Economy and Finance and World Bank have organised a consultation meeting to discuss the partnership framework and priorities for the compilation of Cambodia development strategy 2019-2023.
Co-chaired by the ministry's Secretary of State H.E. Vongsey Vissoth and H.E. Mrs. Inguna Dobraja, Country's World Bank Managing Director, the meeting was participated by representatives from concerned ministries and World Bank offices here, in Singapore and in Washington DC.
H.E. Vongsey Vissoth indicated that the meeting provides a good opportunity for participants to review the results of current strategy 2014-2018 and put forward new directions for next five years.
The secretary of state noticed that achievements of present strategy are well responding to people's need and in alignment with the Royal Government of Cambodia's rectangular policy in promoting national economic growth.
For the next five years, he added, the Royal Government of Cambodia will further strengthening various sectors including logistic, finance, transportation, energy, digital access, education and private sector, agriculture, and public management.
From her end, H.E. Mrs. Inguna Dobraja spoke highly of the meeting, stressing that it is a key for the understanding of development options that could be contributed by the World Bank.
