Cambodia Confirmed Five New COVID-19 Cases Yesterday

Cambodia yesterday detected five COVID-19 infected cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Kingdom to 12.

According to an announcement of the Ministry of Health, two of the five new confirmed cases are a French national and his four-month-old baby who flew from France through Singapore. They are now under quarantine here at Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital and National Pediatric Hospital, respectively while his wife was tested negative, but was required to stay at home for health monitoring.

The other three cases are a Cambodian man returning from France, and two Cambodian Muslims in Preah Vihear province returning recently from a religious event in Malaysia.

With the five new cases of COVID-19, Cambodia has now 12 confirmed cases, of them one – a Chinese tourist – has recovered and already returned to his home country.
