Cambodia's relevant officials of the Ministry of Environment have been working closely with their Chinese counterparts for a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on nuclear power cooperation.
According to the ministry, H.E. Tin Ponlok, Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the National Council for Sustainable Development (NCSD) discussed here yesterday the draft MoU with H.E. Wang Jinfeng, Vice President of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC).
The Ministry of Environment is looking for the cooperation with CNNC in human resource development on nuclear power for industrial development and environmental protection, added the ministry.
The draft MoU is expected to be finalised later this month in order to be submitted to the leaders of both countries during the 14th China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning, China in the coming September.
