Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology and Member of Mekong River Commission (MRC) Council for Cambodia H.E. Lim Kean Hor chaired the Ministerial Meeting for 3rd Mekong River Commission (MRC) Summit � Joint Session with Dialogue Partners, Development Partners and Other Partners, in Siem Reap city, Siem Reap province this morning.
This meeting attracted 150 participants including H.E. Sommad Pholsena, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Lao PDR; H.E. Surasak Karnjanarat, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand; H.E. Tran Hong Ha, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam, and senior delegates from China, Myanmar, dialogue partner countries and development partners.
This meeting reviewed the achievements in implementing the Ho Chi Minh City Declaration adopted at the 2nd MRC Summit in Vietnam and the draft Siem Reap Declaration, and listened to views on enhancing joint efforts and partnership of ministers from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Vietnam and of senior representatives of China, Myanmar, development partners of MRC and ASEAN secretary-general.
H.E. Lim Kean Hor welcomed the fruitful outcomes of the meeting and appreciated the active and open discussion on the occasion.
This meeting drafted the final keys for the Heads of Government of the MRC member countries to review and decide their political commitment for the sustainable development goals, water resources management, and identify strategic priorities for the next four years until the 4th MRC Summit takes place in 2022.
