Cambodia and India have exchanged mutual appreciation of military and national defence cooperation and looked ahead to further boost the relationship.
The positive spirit was underlined during yesterday's meeting between Gen. Sem Sovanny, Director General of the National Centre for Peacekeeping Forces, Mine and Explosive Remnant of War Clearance (NPMEC) and visiting Indian Military Attache Senior Colonel Mullath Sri Kumar here in Phnom Penh.
Senior Colonel Mullath Sri Kumar also spoke highly of long lasting traditional relations and good collaboration between the two nations in all sectors, in addition to the military and national defence sector.
He at the same time pledged to continue supporting Cambodia in United Nations peacekeeping operations.
Gen. Sem Sovanny thanked Senior Colonel Mullath Sri Kumar and encouraged further cooperation between the two nations, including exchange of exposure visits.
The director general also requested the Indian counterpart for some capacity building to Cambodian competent forces and for technical assistance related to mine and explosive remnant of war clearance operation.
