Cambodia, ADB Review Ongoing and Future Infrastructure Development Projects

Cambodian Senior Minister H.E. Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport, received here on April 25 Asian Development Bank (ADB) programme mission team led by Mr. Samiuela T. Tukuafu, Country Director of ADB.

According to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport's news release, the purpose of the meeting was to discuss and review the implementation of ongoing projects and future programmes and projects that involve the ministry.

Mr. Samiuela T. Tukuafu noted that the ADB Cambodia Resident Mission (CARM) would conduct the 2017 Country Programming Mission to review and confirm with the government the lending and non-lending pipelines for 2018-2020.

For his part, H.E. Senior Minister thanked the ADB for playing a significant role in the development of Cambodia and requested the support in areas focused on infrastructure, which include road safety, water treatment, sewerage system development and sanitation projects.

In response, Mr. Samiuela T. Tukuafu said ADB would review and consolidate these requests in the wrap-up meeting with all relevant government ministries.
