CADT02, the First Winner of 9th Cambodia Robocon 2022

The CADT02 team from the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology won the first place in the final of the 9th Cambodia Robocon 2022, and will represent the Kingdom at the International Robocon contest.

The two runners up are the ITC02 team from the Institute of Technology of Cambodia and the NPIC01 team from the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia.

Minister of Information H.E. Khieu Kanharith and his spouse, and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Mikami Masahiro presided over the annual event, organised here at the Royal University of Phnom Penh yesterday afternoon by the National Television of Cambodia (TVK).

The ITC02, NPIC01, and NUM02 teams were also recognised for their best design, engineering, and popularity, respectively, while and the ITC02 team earned the Toyota Award.

Cambodia Robocon 2022 attracted the participation of nine teams from five universities and technical institutes, including the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT), the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC), Cambodia University of Technology and Science (CamTech), and the National University of Management (NUM).

Last year’s event, the ITC02 team from the Institute of Technology of Cambodia got the first prize.

Cambodia Robocon aims to develop the intellectual skills of engineering and automation students in the country, as well as to contribute to promoting the industrial and automation sectors.

Cambodia will host the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) in August 2023 with an expected participation of more than 20 countries.
