Opposition lawmakers could soon summon Foreign Affairs Minister Hor Namhong to the National Assembly to answer claims that the Vietnamese border is encroaching on Cambodian territory.
Speaking on Friday, CNRP representative Sam An said he had found new border markers inside Cambodian territory on a visit to Kampot earlier this week. He previously raised the issue following a visit to the area in mid-April, during which he said he found border demarcation posts one kilometre inside Cambodian territory.
Namhong said on Friday that his compliance with any such summons would be “up to Prime Minister Hun Sen”.
