Optimisms around further advancement of finance discipline has been echoed for the recent kick-start of Association of Chief Financial Officers � abbreviated to CFO � in Cambodia.
Economy and Finance Secretary of State H.E. Ngy Tayi who presided over the CFO launch at Himawari Hotel here in Phnom Penh on May 27 signified key role of the first-ever network in sharpening human resources in finance in Cambodia.
President of the CFO Mr. Tek Veasna emphasised that the formation of the association is not profit-oriented, but serves as a knowledge tank for those pursuing the discipline.
The CFO, he added, has strategised its objective to boost finance human resources with necessary sets of skills and knowledge competitive not only in the domestic, but also international market.
Currently, the network has 18 well-rounded founding members and advisors and 1,000 members across the country.
H.E. Ngy Tayi also saw the association as a drive that will contribute enormously to Cambodia's economic growth.
