Cambodia visit for Halimah Yacob
SPEAKER of Parliament Halimah Yacob will visit Cambodia from tomorrow to Friday, the office of the Clerk of Parliament said in a press release. The visit will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations, it said.
During the visit, Madam Halimah will call on Premier Hun Sen, Acting Senate President Say Chhum, and President of the National Assembly Heng Samrin.
She will also meet the Singaporean community at a lunch reception hosted by the Singapore Embassy in Phnom Penh, the statement said.
Porn case: Second chance for student
PETALING JAYA – The Malaysian scholarship holder convicted in Britain of possession of extreme pornographic images and videos of children will be given a chance to continue his studies once he returns home, said the government agency that gave him the scholarship.
Mr Nazir Hussin Akhtar Hussin, a member of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) or People’s Trust Council, told the mStar news portal that Nur Fitri Azmeer Nordin, 23, could continue his education at any Mara institution in Malaysia.
