Another big international hospitality, food and beverage exhibition has been kick-started with an aim to showcase best and latest culinary and hospitality services in Cambodia.
Taking place from Sept. 19 to 21, the so-called CamFood-CamHotel 2018 exhibition is bringing together over 300 local and international companies specialised in food and beverages and hotel hospitality services from 26 countries.
Secretary of State for Tourism H.E. Pak Sokhom presided over the official opening of the event that expects at least 8,000 participants at Koh Pich (Diamond Island) Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The event � sixth of its kind � also serves as a platform that brings new products, technologies and innovations to hospitality agents to further advance services in order to meet the emerging demand in competitive markets, the secretary of state addressed the opening.
H.E. Pak Sokhom at the same time encouraged the service providers to continue building their capacity for quality service provision toward the sustainability of tourism industry in Cambodia, stressing that more qualified staff from the front office to the kitchen is needed in hospitality.
Mr. Luu Meng, the President of Cambodia Tourism Federation, echoed the insights adding that service updating is indispensable to survive in the field of hospitality, including that for international tourists to Cambodia.
Cambodia welcomed 5.6 million foreign visitors last year and expects 6.2 million this year, and quality hospitality service is a key factor determining sustainable growth of international tourist inflow to country.
