The animal production in 2021 was valued at US$5,100 million, a year-on-year increase of 6 percent.

According to a preliminary report of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the value of livestock production nationwide reached US$3,150 million, up 7.4 percent, while that of animal production for local supply rose by 2.8 percent to US$1,884 million.

At the same time, the export of animal products – live animals, meat, leather … – was amounted to US$66.13 million, a 40 percent increase compared to that 2020.
