Angkor Archaeological Park generated US$13,479,686 for January as national income from the selling of entrance tickets to international tourists.
The update was shared recently by the park's ticket centre Angkor Enterprise, adding that the amount derived from ticket fees of 294,813 foreign visitors during the recorded period.
Of the total income that represents 62.31 percent increase compared to the same period last year, US$589,626 will be used to fund Kantha Bopha � the country's leading children's hospital, it continued.
The Angkor Archaeological Park received 2,457,023 foreign tourists in 2017 � an increase of almost 12 percent compared to 2016's figure � making a total revenue of US$107,976,439, up 72.54 percent.
