Delegation of the Agence Kampuchea Presse (AKP), led by its Deputy Director General Mrs. So Sophavy, are joining a week-long training course on sports events coverage at Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony this morning, H.E. Keo Chandara, an Advisor to the Cambodian Ministry of Information, recalled the professional cooperation agreement between AKP and VNA through the exchanges of visit and information.

H.E. Keo Chandara continued that the above-mentioned training course was made possible at the request of AKP and continued support of VNA to AKP, hoping that the AKP’s officials would get more knowledge about writing news articles and taking and editing photos and videos in the area of sports to be able to serve well at AKP, especially for the coming 32nd SEA Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games in May and June, respectively.

The advisor further attributed the training course, taking place from Mar. 19 to 25, to the good bilateral collaboration between AKP and VNA.

Taking the opportunity, he also thanked VNA for its contribution to AKP’s progress as well as for its spiritual, technical and material support for AKP’s development.

For his part, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, Director of VNA Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, shared the same view with H.E. Keo Chandara, and reaffirmed the commitment of VNA to help the development of AKP at all levels.
