Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) H.E. Veng Sakhon held talks here yesterday with newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Ms. Ayda Anlu.
On the occasion, H.E. Veng Sakhon expressed warm welcome to H.E. Ms. Ayda Anlu and briefed her on the progress of agricultural sector as well as the current political and economic situation in Cambodia.
H.E. Minister thanked the Government of Turkey for its support to the agricultural cooperation between the two countries and he believed that a memorandum of understanding on the bilateral cooperation will be signed during the visit of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen to Turkey in October this year to attend an EU conference.
H.E. Ms. Ayda Anlu spoke highly of peace and development in all domains, particularly the agricultural sector in Cambodia. She also pledged to try her best to further strengthen and expand the solidarity, friendship and cooperation between both nations.
The new diplomat was convinced that the Government of Turkey will continue to support Cambodia in terms of politics, techniques and diplomacy so as to help the country achieve its vision of becoming an upper-middle income economy by 2030.
