Phnom Penh capital will have a lightweight train carrying people and tourists from downtown area to Phnom Penh International Airport in April next year to avoid traffic congestion.
The information was shared here recently by Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport H.E. Sun Chanthol while presiding over a handover ceremony of mechanical equipment from Henan Transport Investment Group Co., Ltd.
The railroad for the lightweight train will connect from an old rail track to Phnom Penh International Airport for about one kilometres, added H.E. Sun Chanhol, appealing to people living along the rail track not to worry about any effect to their houses.
