52 Media Practitioners Join CCJ’s Media Training

The Club of Cambodia Journalists (CCJ) has been organising a media training aiming to develop writing and reporting skills of media practitioners in Cambodia.

Started from June 18, 2022 the training will be held every Saturday and run for seven weeks, with the participation of 52 media practitioners from local media outlets and students.

The training course features important topics such as news writing, verifying news sources, news pitching, professional ethics in journalism, writing online news, social media, and investigation news.

Trainers are veteran reporters, including H.E. Chhay Sophal, Under Secretary of State, Ministry of Information, Mr. Pen Bona, Editor-in-Chief of PNN TV, Mr. Teav Sarak Mony, Director of Rasmei Kampuchea, and Mr. Puy Kea of Kyodo News Agency in Cambodia.

Mr. Ung Chamroeun, Executive Director of Thmey Thmey, Mr. Thai Sothea, Co-Founder of Cambonomist, Pierre Gillettes, author and former editor of Cambodge Soir, Ms. Pov Reaksa, Deputy Director of Information BTV, and Mr. May Tith Thara of Internews Cambodia are also among the trainers.
