31st SEA Games: Cambodia Wins 3rd Gold Medal

Cambodia this afternoon won another gold medal in Vovinam’s self-defence performance category, at the ongoing 31st SEA Games in Vietnam.

This is the 3rd gold medal for Cambodia. It was earned by athletes Pal Chhar Rasmey, Ly Boramy, Chrin Bunlong and Prak Sovanny with the total scores of 269.

The other gold medals were gained by petanque athletes, Sin Vong and Vorng Chantha in Mixed Doubles after beating their Vietnamese counterparts 13-4, and by kickboxer Toch Rachhan after defeating Thai kickboxer, Arunno Sivapan, in the 57 kg category.

For other medals, Cambodia has received 5 silver and 11 bronze as of this morning.

The Kingdom ranked 8th among the 11 Southeast Asian countries participating in this regional sporting event which officially kicked off on May 12 and will run through till May 23.

Cambodia has sent 363 athletes (126 female) to compete in 33 of 40 types of sports in the 31st SEA Games 2022.
