24th Japanese Speech Contest to be Held This Weekend

The 24th Japanese Speech Contest for Japanese language learners will take place at Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Centre (CJCC) in Phnom Penh on Sunday, May 22 from 13:30 to 17:00.

Jointly organised by the Embassy of Japan, CJCC, the Department of Japanese language, Institute of Foreign Languages, Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP-IFL) and The Japan Foundation, Phnom Penh Liaison Office, the upcoming event is aimed to further promote the understanding of Japanese culture and language amongst the Cambodian youth.

According to the embassy’s press release, the Japanese Speech Contest is a special occasion for students of various Japanese schools in Cambodia to showcase a wide range of brilliant speeches.

This year, 15 candidates were selected amongst 57 candidates to compete in the final round to streamed live at https://www.facebook.com/cjcc.fb/ and https://www.facebook.com/JapanEmbassyCambodia.
