The Rahmah Sales programme, launched in Perlis on April 16, continues to receive encouraging responses from all walks of life and has benefitted 71,176 consumers, especially from the B40 group.
Perlis Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) director Norazah Jaapar said the sales programme had been conducted 45 times in 15 constituencies in the state.
“The total sales value is RM957,340 while the total cost, including subsidies, is RM513,617.12,” she told Bernama here today.
She said the Rahmah Sales programme in the state was being conducted through two methods, namely on-site and off-site.
“For the off-site sales, Perlis KPDN is working with community leaders, non-governmental organisations and government agencies,” she said.
Norazah added that rice, wheat flour, cooking oil, vermicelli, onions, dried food and various beverage products are popular among consumers.
“Perlis KPDN has also developed a strategy to implement the Rahmah Mobile Sales in collaboration with various government agencies and the local community to reach out to more people.
“We would like to invite Perlis folk to follow us on Facebook to get the latest information about the Rahmah Sales programmes across the state,” she said.
