A consultative meeting on how to distribute humanitarian assistance to the most in need in Myanmar is planned to be held in late April or early May.
The scheduled was shared by H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Special Envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar, at a press conference on the outcomes of his working visit to Myanmar from Mar. 21-23, upon his arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport this morning.
According to H.E. The Special Envoy took the opportunity to reiterate that his first working visit to Myanmar was not to legitimise the military junta, but to create a favourable condition leading to the end of violence as well as the utmost restraint by all parties; distribute humanitarian assistance with the support and coordination from ASEC and AHA Centre; and encourage the political consultations / dialogues among all parties concerned.
