Cambodia is an investment destination and a potential market for the Korean industry, especially the automotive industry, underlined H.E. Han Duck-soo, Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea.
In a bilateral meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, in Seoul this afternoon, the S. Korean Premier voiced his support and satisfaction with Samdech Thipadei’s initiative to create special economic zones for Korean companies and establish Regular Consultation Sessions between the Korean Business Association in Cambodia and the Royal Government of Cambodia.
H.E. Han Duck-soo also expressed his pleasure for additional Official Development Assistance to Cambodia through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)’s grant and concessional loans through the Korea Economic Development Co-operation Fund (EDCF Loan).
For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet lauded the Cambodia-Korea relations and cooperation that have reached the level of “Strategic Partnership”, and spoke highl
y of the active contribution of the Korean government in Cambodia’s socio-economic development.
Besides, the Cambodian Premier highlighted the symbolic project of Cambodia-Korea Friendship Bridge, schedule to break ground for construction in the near future. The friendship bridge represents the long-standing friendship between the two countries, stressed Samdech Thipadei, thanking the Korean government for its precious contribution to this project.
The two leaders reaffirmed their position and belief that the bilateral relations and cooperation between both nations under the level of strategic partnership will continue to grow and become stronger.
